Gmail has suddenly given me the proposed new layout and colour scheme on one of my accounts. It's been advising for sometime that the leopard was changing its spots. I much prefer the traditional colour scheme etc., not just because of familiarity, but, because of gentle clarity. "Gentle" is the all important adjective here. The white background looks clinical and its starkness is quite hard on the eye.

I have been looking around the site to see if there is a way of restoring the previous colour scheme, or, even changing the colour to something more pleasing. As yet there is nothing obvious to guide me in that direction. Previously, there was an option at the bottom of the page, however, it seems to have disappeared.

Any ideas please?
