Deciding to file one piece of paper this morning, led to a massive filtering of a folder and a clear-out of its contents. The folder had been straining and had just begun separating from its metal hanger. I then got sidetracked into looking at the contents of another folder.
I reckon I found a bit of I.T history in the second folder. I Took out a very chunky 220 pages multilingual white book. It had a red apple logo on it with a bite out of the apple. All that for a little iPod care plan; it was an early nano, so, not as little as the current ones, which are just a bit larger than some postage stamps. Generally, you don't get books with I.T. kit now. The book is destined for paper recycling, unless anyone has other ideas!
Interrupting my focus on the task in hand, the doorbell rang.
When I opened the door, I did not expect to see hubby standing there, nor with one hand outstretched. In his slightly cupped hand was a perfect beautiful Green Finch, alas, very dead.... such a pity. We can only surmise that it had flown into something, a window, perhaps. It was found lying between the lengths of two cars, unseen by predators.
I returned to my filing task with a lot less enthusiasm. However, with a finishing flourish, I installed two new hanging folders into the
filing cabinet, one to replace the failing
one and another for my one piece of paper, the one that started the whole tidying performance.
