 DUNKING BREAKFAST....

I left half my breakfast in the toaster this morning. Discovered it much later on. But, all's well that ends well. It made great dunking material for the lunch time stew.

What else can I constructively forget?

all's well that ends well and a good hearty stew must have been very welcome on a dark winters day!

As I devised and cooked the stew, Ax, with accompaniments, it was fine (or else!) It always seems to taste better though, if someone else cooks.

Talking of dark days, it got very dark, ever so quickly following our afternoon repast. Where I am, we are into our shortest days.

It all ended well and that's the most important. Things like that make life amusing, right? :)

Hello MKL,

If you didn't smile at these daft forgetful moments, you would cry. I didn't even realize I had left half my breakfast...I was asked about the cold toast in the toaster, just as I was about to sit down to my lunch.

I thought I was quite clever, me suggesting we could share the 'large croutons'. ;)

That's okay but I can't abide cold toast! Flighty xx

My toaster can warm up bread...there's a button for it. I don't know if I would have noticed any difference between the warm and cold nature of the food, as the staff of life was being warmed up in the hot gravy.
