THE WINDOW

This was a view through the window, at home, yesterday morning.

By mid afternoon the rain had cleared leaving the remainder of a dreach damp day behind.

Today we have fared a bit better, though it has remained overcast.

The spiders, obviously know where they are best off, out of nature's elements.  Their tell-tale trails are to be found in the house.  I was so taken with the artwork of the web that before I took my cleaning tools to the evidence, I  decided to take a picture of it.

lovely images that appear so simple yet bear a prolonged gaze, i'm glad you snapped that web before you zapped it!

Thank you Ax. I must say, I felt a bit bad about my intended path of web destruction.

(I wonder whether specific words in this reply will be picked up by a spy bot?) ;)

ZACL,

I love both photos. The nature is most creative, and we are surrounded by nothing but nature. The subdued but colorful photos are so pleasing to my eyes. The first photo makes me feel I'm glad I'm on this warmer side. It's a treat like a candy. The seocnd photo is like a caramel with fudge. Mmm, it looks delicious. No wonder you confessed you had eaten some part of the fudge up just before taking the photo.

I like your interpretations of the two pictures Keiko.

At least it was rain on the window and not more Arctic snow. We have had too much of it. As I passed the window, the amount of rainfall and its patterns on the glass made me stop and think. That's why I took some photos of it.

The web was another observation of a dark, evil yet practical beauty that is part of life. It is the food catcher for the spider. The 'fudgy' colours in the photo seemed to depict it all for me.

These images are documents of a world we rarely peek into. Thanks for making us aware that it still exists, parallel to our oh so busy fast-paced world.

Thanks MKL - I see what you mean.
