I was struck by the variation of colours, density and the portents in the skies on this morning. There were totally different skies between the front and the back of our house, the one thing in common you could see, was the amount of movement and wind up in the cloudscape.
On the other side and over the fields was a sunrise.
The skies were fascinating though threatening. They gave us plenty of warning that there was a weather event to come.
As I watched and waited the sky scene very swiftly changed. Then as I turned towards the North I saw this;
It was like a refracting bolt. And yes......we have the weather, we are having the threatened weather, and there is plenty more to come.

The views are plain gorgeous! I can imagine threatening part as it is fascinating. About salt, I'm amazed that you can actually see and feel the amount of it. Does someone there make salt for cooking? It must be good because of sea salt.
A very insightful question keiko. There is no salt manufacture locally, but there are parts of the country with names that tell you they were areas where salt production was an industry. I would have to do some research to answer your question about the current situation with salt production in the UK.

Hmm. I think people there have a business opportunity like mail order of special Scottish sea salt.
You could be right Keiko. It is possible that there is something under another name. Salt is certainly obtained within the UK for our various uses.
