ARE THERE ANY OTHER CLEARER CAPTCHAS FOR BLOGGER?

So that some followers can comment, I have stopped using the catpcha which blocks spam by robots. The system was successful. I know the captchas used on Blogger are difficult to see, and there are times when I have clicked away at the captcha till a usable one has shown up. Even so, what is on offer is pretty difficult to read, especially for certain vision prescriptions, especially when the offerings are grossly distorted, as they are, with the captchas that are on offer by Blogger.

I am now receiving spam. Does anyone out there please, know of a different style of captcha that can be uploaded - with instructions - for use with Blogger, if so, where may I find them, please?

But isn't the spam automatically removed by blogger and stored separately?

I've never had that increasingly annoying captcha thing, and have seldom suffered spam.

Anyhow bless you for removing the thing. I just complained on another blog asking for it to be removed. It seems completely paranoid, and you have to try several times to get through.

I just put "alternatives to captcha" into Google (in quotes). It came up with about 7750 results.

Have you tried the audio version of it? Utterly garbled and impossible.

I do find it annoying, and it seems harder the past few days!
You could approve comments.
Thankfully Wordpress filter out spam, of which there is lots, and I've yet to have a spam comment actually appear on my blog.

So i'm not the only one who can never read those infernal things!

I was beginning to suspect that maybe i was just a robot after all...

I have my comments set to 'author moderation' so any spam can be deleted at the click of a mouse.

Dear Vincent,

You really can be very sweet, bless you.

I am receiving the spam in my mail comment notifications, which I would prefer not to. Filtering and moderation would be no different. I just don't want the darn things to appear anywhere.

A couple of weeks ago, I did search for Captchas (sorry, used wrong term in post) and none seemed compatible for uploading on Blogger. There were a number of bog sites these things could be dedicated to, but Blogger did not feature. I'll plod on into the research again.

Hello Mr F,

I have fun and games with the captcha thing provided by Blogger; it is not user-friendly at all. I fully understand the frustration it causes to commenters. I have been there.

Filtering out is where I seem to be at, in my mail notifications of comments. I would rather that type of mail did not get into my mail box. I will try to work a bit more on resolving this situation.

xx

Hello Ax,

I understand what you say, however, I detest getting unwanted mail in my mail box, especially when I have not had it when the robotic stuff has been controlled.

Ho Hum.

Hello PlantPot,

As you say, your captcha is a WordPress plug-in. What I am seeking is a Blogger plug in. Thanks for the thought. I'll check them out again, in case there's a blogger version on offer I've missed.
