LIKE DEFLATED BALLOONS

You know those deflating balloons you've seen, well, I feel just like one of those today. I cannot think of any specifics relating to it. Odd really. It's one of those days when I could cheerfully curl up in bed, snuggle into my duvet and drift off. the only thing that puts me off, is, I would be getting into a chilly bed and I would have to energise 'me' to warm it up. There's a single word for this; lethargy.

There is a way to liven myself up a bit, which I am going to invest in right now. I am going to prepare a cafetiere. A couple of cups of real coffee should definitely perk me up for a while. Long enough to create the evening meal!

If it were me, bed would win, with a hot water bottle to keep me company, several books, Kindle, my BookSeat, notebook ...

Then almost instant sleep.

Hmm, those suggestions interest me Vincent. However, I would need to know what a Book Seat notebook could do for me. :)

A couple cups of coffee sounds too ambitios. I would start out with one cup of coffee and see where it leads me. Hope you felt much better after the perk up.

Hi Shimon,

My cafetieres make two continental size cups of coffee; they are smaller than tea cups but larger than espresso cups. For what I needed, two cups, continental size worked well. (I do have the size of cup. I often sit and mull over 'nothing' when I am sipping from them).

Many of our coffee filter machines have two water measurements for cups, one British/American, the other continental Europe.

Thanks for poking the grey cells to cogitate on this variation on domestic activity.

Oh yes....I know those feelings well...I think we all have a day like that occasionally, it's usually when you have all sorts that need doing as well. I've had visitors all day and my jobs have gone undone....xxxxx

I discovered today,Snowbird, that something required for this afternoon had not been started. The whole of this morning was tied up with intense concentration to get the tasks done. Talk about pressure!

Other things have been skimmed over. Tomorrow is another day, with less on the agenda.

I think that we all have days like that, but hopefully few and far between. When I get one I generally sofa fly all day with a book, cups of tea and a packet of biscuits!

Monday was a deflated day for me, ZACL. I felt flat. I went with it and allowed the flatness to have its way with me. Tuesday was much better. It's nice that whatever day we're at, there's usually tomorrow.

Hello Mr F,

sounds like you have a lovely coping strategy. The biscuits seem to be an important part of the process.

Hi Rebb,

There's not much else you can do, except go with the flow, when energy deflation sets in. The tomorrow or the next, is very useful.
