Word Verification

Regretfully, I have had to introduce word verification, because I have been receiving spam on recent posts.  I am hoping this will be enough to deter future attempts at spamming.

No problem, and better that than spam comments! Flighty xx

Oh well. I never have bothered with that, because it is so easy (and rather pleasurable) just to delete the spam comments - unless you get hundreds.

wouldn't it be a wonderful world without spammers?

the next best thing would be to track them down and cut-off their internet access...until then we're stuck with 'em.

Hello Mr F.

Your view is the same as mine, though I would have preferred to keep 'open access'. I am not prepared to tolerate low level input. That belongs elsewhere and not on my blog.

Hi Vincent

I am not as tolerant of spam as you appear to be. I'll let others have the joys of deleting stuff.

Ciao Ax,

Yes, it would be great without spammers and especially the porn stuff. It is distasteful. I don't want it and will try and keep it off my site.

Your suggestion is such a good and simple one. So far, I have only heard of one office generating spam throughout the world, which was closed down. That took some time in doing. It is easy to work out why the idea won't be widespread any time soon.

I am surprised to hear you've had Japanese spammers bothering you. I guess they base themselves anywhere on the globe...Let's hope the Japanese authorities will do something about the spammers.

I can't remember where most of my spam was coming from, I was getting irritated by it and decided to take first line defensive action.
