In November 2010 - nearly seven months ago - I ordered the book as a Christmas gift for a young relative. The book would be forwarded to me, I was informed, when it was received in stock; I promptly forgot about the order. The relative got something else.
It is already too late for a birthday present this year. It is not ideal for the older sibling. I will have to put on my thinking cap.

ZACL,
I can't wait to hear what idea you come with from this opportunity. I want to see his or her surprised face.
Well, I hope my June 15th order to an online bookstore won't take 7 month! But if I don't receive my book soon, I will not buy from the seller.
Hello Keiko,
Lovely to hear from you.
This seller is worth supporting, it is not a huge operation. to be fair I was informed the book was not in stock after I placed the order. It was me that forgot all about it.
If I had not forgotten about the book order, I could have cancelled it without any problem. I did not.
What I shall have to do Keiko, is check with some other relations to find out about the young relative's interests, and find out if this young person will still be interested in the type of book it is.
ZACL,
Good idea. If my book doesn't arrive by July 8th, I'll cancel it. It will be my first cancellation for my online purchase if I do.
After all that time you'd of thought that they'd have contacted you to ask if you still wanted it!
Flighty xx
Perhaps so, Mr F, I had not considered that. I shall enquire if such a think should recur.
I reckon I must take responsibility this time. I have not checked out company policy on time waiting for books to arrive in stock. Maybe, it is read as okay unless the customer opts out.
